This tutorial will show you how to create a Donation button. Basically, we will be adding a Donation button to a page on our web site. Adding a Donation button to this page will allow site visitors to make a donation via Paypal. Let's get started. Start by entering a donation name and ID for the item. Note that this is optional. You can enter a value here if you are asking for a specific amount. Otherwise, if you leave it blank, your donors will enter their own amount. Specify a currency for the donation. Specify if you would like the donor's payment form to default to a specific country. If not, the donors will choose for themselves. You can use the default Donation button design... or you can click to choose another button. Alternatively, you can use your own custom image. Simply enter a URL that points to your custom image. You can use encrypted button code that will prevent it from being altered by others. Keep in mind that if encrypted, you will not be able to generate an email link, and you will be limited by the number of options you can attach to the button. In this example, we will not use encrypted code since we wish to have full access to all options available. Let's go ahead and add a few options. This is the destination URL to which you would like PayPal to send your customers once their payment has been successfully completed. This is the destination URL to which you would like PayPal to send your customers if they wish to cancel their payment. This is a donation, so no shipping address is required. You can optionally provide an additional text area where buyers can add any additional information. Specify the email address which will receive payment. by default, this will be the primary email address in your profile. When you're done, click to create the button. As you can see, you have code for your web site donation button as well as code for an email link. Let's go ahead and add the code to our web site page. Highlight the code (press Ctrl-A on your keyboard. Now right click and select Copy. Now let's open up our web page in a text editor. Paste the code into the page. Save the file and upload it to your site. Let's take a look at the results on the site. After refreshing the page... we can see that the donation button has been successfully added to the site. Well, that's it! You are now able to create a donation button in your Paypal account.
