This tutorial will show you how to create a Buy Now button with additional options. Click to create a Buy Now button. Basically, we will be adding a Buy Now Button to a page on our web site. Adding a Buy Now button to this page will allow site visitors to place an order via
Paypal. Let's get started. Start by entering a name and ID for the item. Note that this optional. Now enter a price for the item. Specify a currency for the price. Specify if you would like the buyer's payment form to default to a specific country. If not, the buyers will choose for themselves. You can use the default Buy Now button design... or you can click to choose another button. Alternatively, you can use your own custom image. Simply enter a URL that points to your custom image. You can use encrypted button code that will prevent it from being altered by others. Keep
in mind that if encrypted, you will not be able to generate an email link, and you will be limited by the number of options you can attach to the button. In this example, we will not use encrypted code since we wish to have full access to all options available. Let's go ahead and add a few options. Decide if you would like to create a drop down menu or text box. After giving the option a name, go ahead and enter all the choices (separated by a line break). If using this Button Factory to generate the code, you are limited to a maximum of 10 choices. Let's add another option. This time we'll make it a text box. Buyers will now be able to enter their own text for this option in the order process. This is the destination URL to which you would like
Paypal
to send your customers once their payment has been successfully completed. This is the destination URL to which you would like
Paypal
to send your customers if they wish to cancel their payment. You can provide your buyers with the option to buy more than one of the item or service that you are offering. This will add a Quantity box to the order form. Specify if you require a shipping address. You can optionally provide an additional text area where buyers can add any additional information or instructions to the order. Specify the email address which will receive payment. By default, this will be the primary email address in your profile. When you're done, click to create the button.
So you can see, you have code for your web site button as well as code for an email link. Let's go ahead and add the code to our web site page. Highlight the code (press Ctrl-A on the keyboard). Now right click and select Copy. Now let's open up our web page in a text editor. Paste the code into the page. Save the file and upload it to your site. Let's take a look at the results on the site. After refreshing the page... we can see that the button (and options) have been successfully added to the site. Well, that's it! You are able to create a Buy Now button with options in your
Paypal
account. |
